The CIA in Hyde Park, NY prides itself on being the world’s premier culinary college. CIA students come to understand food and graduate with the comprehensive knowledge of
cooking and baking methods, the leadership skills, and the understanding of the business of food that serves them well in everything they do. The CIA offers bachelors and associate degrees in culinary arts that prepare students for a career as a chef, restaurateur, food writer, or even foodservice manager or research and development professional? They also offer degree programs in baking and pastry arts. Students typically log 1300-plus hours of hands-on culinary training including experience in the on-campus restaurants.Students can also undertake an 18-week externship at one of more than 1,100 CIA-approved restaurants, hotels, or resorts.
